She has an educational background spanning automation, control engineering, and intellectual property law, and has experience working with intellectual property firms in both China and Australia. She has developed extensive experience in Chinese patent practice, overseas patent portfolio development, and cross-border intellectual property coordination.

In the area of international intellectual property protection, Guannan assists Chinese enterprises in addressing patent protection and legal practice requirements across different jurisdictions. Her work encompasses overseas patent portfolio strategies, patent claim analysis, assessment of technical solutions and patent scope, responses to office actions, and preliminary analysis and support in cross-border intellectual property disputes. She is familiar with patent prosecution practices in the United States, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, and other jurisdictions. She coordinates with clients and local legal and patent professionals on cross-border matters, providing support on issues including claim construction, technical feature comparison, patent validity, and potential infringement risks, and assisting clients in developing strategies for overseas intellectual property protection and dispute resolution.

In matters relating to patent disputes and enforcement, Guannan combines technical understanding with patent law analysis and an awareness of procedural requirements across different jurisdictions. She assists clients in organizing and analyzing relevant technical facts, assessing patent scope, evaluating potential infringement and invalidity risks, and providing preliminary analysis and cross-border coordination support for overseas patent enforcement, infringement disputes, and related legal proceedings. She also recognizes the impact of claim drafting, prosecution strategies, and office action responses on patent validity and subsequent enforcement prospects. Her approach emphasizes an integrated and commercially oriented perspective across the patent lifecycle, from initial filing and rights maintenance to dispute management and enforcement.
